There are two main approaches to treating any condition – the holistic approach and the allopathic approach.
The first looks at a person as a whole and seeks to address the root cause.
The latter looks at a person as a sum of separate parts and seeks to manage all symptoms separately as if they weren’t related in any way while completely ignoring the search for a root cause.
It only seeks to cover up symptoms while the source of the disease remains untouched.
This equals to removing the flashing control signals in your car while ignoring the damage to the engine
If you take allopathic medicine, symptoms will remain at bay only so long as you’re on it. Once you stop taking the drugs, symptoms come back full force or with an additional set of new ones caused by the drug side effects since no actual healing has occurred. Thus these drugs do often need to be taken for life, often in increasing doses as their effectiveness decreases and side effects begin to appear, which need to be managed with yet more drugs. This taxes the overall level of health as the body is forced to continue living with a chronic condition while its ability to express what is wrong is taken away. This leads to ever new conditions developing further down the line.
As a long-term treatment strategy, this doesn’t make any sense.
If your doctor puts you on prescription drugs to manage your chronic symptoms, it’s not because they want to put you in danger on purpose. It’s simply because they don’t know any better. They were trained in their specialty which relates to only one part of the body and they were plainly told this is what you prescribe when a patient presents with such and such. If they manifest a problem elsewhere, just pass them over to another specialist. In this way, they’re never required to look at the connections between various symptoms. Least of all at the mind-body connection.

I ‘m seeing confusion related to the various treatment options of LS (yes, there are options. Clobetasol is not the only answer, just like homeopathy isn’t the only answer).
Please realize, that we are making our decisions based on emotions and justify them by logic.
If you are scared and believe there is only one correct choice, you will lose access to your gut sense and therefore what is good for you. You will also lose sight of the fact that there are always choices and none of them are inherently good or bad.
Truth is, there are no universally correct answers. You need to find out what is true and good for you.
You can only find that out when you listen to your own inner authority. Nobody outside of you has the right answers for you. You are the sole authority of your life.
David Bedrick has put it so well here: “We each need a way of checking in with ourselves before we accept the direction of any healer, whether that is an acupuncturist, an allopath, a counselor, a coach, or someone who prays for us. This is particularly important for anyone whose integrity or authority has been overridden, dismissed, or abused by another. Please, dear friends, find a way to access that part of you, that “still small voice” within, that says “yes,” “no,” or “maybe, I’m not sure yet.”
One of such ways of checking with ourselves is this simple body check:
Stand up barefooted, feet hips apart, and relax. Now think of a simple question that you know the answer to and observe how your body wants to respond.
Is it leaning backward or forwards? Is it saying yes or no?
You can use this test anytime you have uncertainties about your body’s needs.
It can be also used to determine which food items are good for you and which isn’t by holding them in front of yourself in the heart area.
„Too often we make important decisions about and for our bodies without consulting its direct innate wisdom. Many of us are used to leading with our mind, which doesn’t necessarily know what the body needs or indeed what our soul needs. But the body does – and it will share this information with you if you know how to ask.“ Annu Tara
