YAY! OR NAY?
Most of us here have come to know disodium tetraborate in its crude form that we all lovingly call ‘borax’.
Some of you discovered that there is also a remedy in a homeopathic form called Borax and wondered what that could do for their LS.
I wouldn’t generally recommend it in most cases, but since I know some people are taking it anyway, here are at least some guidelines on how to do it correctly.
HOMEOPATHIC BORAX
is a natural remedy that has affinity particularly to oral afflictions. It can be great in treating Oral Lichen Planus, mouth ulcers, aphthae, and cold sores. The mouth in such cases is very hot and dry. Many times the ulcers suppurate and the mucous membrane bleeds easily.
In cases of Vulvar Lichen Sclerosis, it is much less likely to be effective, and as always, it would work only if the remedy is a good individual match to the particular symptoms of the patient.
Unless individualized, homeopathy doesn’t work, it needs to be tailored to the individual via a thorough process working with a classical homeopath when it comes to chronic conditions.
However, if nevertheless, you want to try it yourself it likely won’t do any harm.

Here are some INSTRUCTIONS:
I would recommend getting a low potency (the 30C that most inquire about could be too high for this purpose) like 6C, and take one pill under the tongue (careful about antidoting via fragrant substances or EMF’s) as often as necessary for the first days.
When you notice symptoms subsiding, you can reduce the frequency. This would work in a flare IF you personally have an affinity with the remedy.
For maintenance, you could take just once or twice daily for a couple of months or so and see if it makes a difference.
Keep in mind that this is a long shot and recommendations cannot really be made accurately without knowing further details of each case.
Homeopathy is a complete healing system and works well with chronic (incurable) autoimmune conditions. We have some 8000 remedies by now, any of which might be the one suited to you and your symptoms, so picking one for a chronic condition without deeper knowledge is a bit like shooting in the dark (acutes are different as results might be seen faster).
If the borax fails, you could also try the homeopathic remedies: nitricum acidum, natrum muriaticum, and/or sepia, and take as recommended above.
As with everything, things might get worse before they get better and things can get pretty complex, etc. so it’s better to work with a professional to manage your case, but in general, homeopathy is pretty safe and doesn’t cause harm as modern western medicine can.
If you’ve tried treating your chronic symptoms with homeopathy by yourself, and didn’t get any results, it’s because the chosen remedies weren’t well suited for you and I recommend working with a professional homeopath who can help you find a remedy that will be a good fit.
