1. How can I stop the itching!
Borax soaks have been reported to be an effective emergency solution with immediate soothing effect by many people worldwide. Just put a quarter cup of Sodium Tetraborate into half a tub of water and soak daily for at least 20 minutes.
But, if like me you see no improvement in the itching after six months of daily soaking, you will need a root-level individualized solution. I know of nothing better than homeopathy.
2. Will the white patches go away?
Yes, once the inflammation goes down, chances are that the white patches will go too.
To minimize vulvar inflammation it’s best to find the sources of it and remove them. Most often this is our hidden daily stress, sometimes dietary and chemical irritants, and other triggers.
3. How can I reverse fusing?
Women have reported a reversal of the labial and clitoral fusing after the use of various methods of treatments. These included steroid creams (clobetasol), borax soaks (sodium tetraborate), and homeopathy.

4. I am very afraid of cancer. My doctor says I must use steroidal creams to avoid it. Is it true?
First of all, I understand! Cancer in our society has been turned into a monster that comes out of nowhere and takes the lives of unsuspecting victims. From a holistic perspective, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
There are well documented psycho-neural pathways that lead to cancer development. Since half of the population gets cancer during their life and a third dies of it, you would do well to familiarize yourself with those.
As with most conditions, cancer has a multifactorial causality. This means that you won’t get it just because you have LS, or because you had a difficult childhood. But put those two together, add lack of emotional support, a doormat personality, suppressive drugs, and an acidic diet, and you would have created just the right cocktail of cancer-causing ingredients.
The best way to prevent your life-style from turning into cancer is to address it holistically and affect change at the level that creates this life-style. That means at the level of mind, body, and soul. This is exactly what constitutional homeopathy does.
5. I don’t want to use steroids. What else can I use?
I salute you for making this health-conscious choice! I know it’s not always easy to decide to take your health into your own hands, sometimes despite the recommendations of ‘authority’.
Steroid creams don’t work for everyone, they don’t address the root cause, and can have a very adverse effect on our health longterm.
Now you have two choices. You can replace steroids by using a natural alternative that will work to suppress the reaction of the skin. This might mean the use of herbs, borax, Lisepten or Emuaid, which will work to soothe the inflammation superficially.
Or you can opt for addressing and removing the root cause. This is always individual and will involve different elements. That might mean finding and addressing any emotional conflicts causing stress, removing stored toxins from the body, discovering any sensitivities, and going on a non-inflammatory diet. You would likely need to work with different professionals to achieve all this, or you can do it all in one place by seeing a homeopath.

6. My doctor wants to put me on estrogen, progesterone, hormonal replacement therapy. Is it safe?
This is a tricky one. Many women swear by the improvements the use of bio-identical hormones brought to their life. The science behind it isn’t very convincing when it comes to the risks versus benefits ratio. Nevertheless, you would be introducing potentially very disruptive foreign substances into your precious body. This can lead to very undesirable side effects. For instance, HRT is known to cause hair loss which is often the very issue it is taken for. Do you want to risk that your problem is going to be made worse in the longterm? Without even having a chance at actually healing the root cause?
My two cents are, that there are safer alternatives that can actually help your body heal. Why not first exhaust those before going the risky route?
7. What diet is best for LS?
Although many dieticians seem to know the answer to this question, or will at least vehemently promote whatever diet has worked for them, this cannot be honestly determined, except on a very individual basis.
Usually, those recommendations are based on scientific studies that have historically proven to have poor reliability. Remember when eggs and dairy and cereal were the crux of a healthy diet? And remember when all cholesterol was bad cholesterol? Yeah. Those recommendations keep changing depending on who’s ordered the study and what they wanted to ‘prove’.
The triggers of LS are varied and many depending on individual susceptibility. For some people, the triggers will be of dietary nature and removing the allergenic item might resolve their issue. But for many others, this is not the case.
What I have found to be generally valid though is that LS often has a strong psycho-emotional component. No known diet is going to address that.
8. What supplements should I be taking?
Here again, no recommendations can be made that would be universally valid, because our individual nutritional needs vary greatly.
If you’re eating a varied, pure enough diet, no supplements should be necessary.
Synthetically derived vitamins and most multi-vitamins are a big no-no. Their low bioavailability and un-natural origins cause them to act more as a toxic baggage than a support for the organism.
If you must supplement, rather look into herbs and tinctures as those include all the necessary constituents and co-factors in just the right ratios to be effectively utilized.
My personal favorite is pickled vegetables like sauerkraut which is packed with high-value vitamin C and a variety of necessary enzymes.
9. Will I be able to be intimate without pain?
Absolutely! It depends on how you define ‘intimate’, though.
For instance, did you know, that you don’t need to be touching, least of all genital touching, to be intimate and experience orgasms?
For many women, the way they mentally approached sexuality and partnership is part of the reason why their body has said no to further ‘intimacy’. Modern sexuality is not in favor of what women’s bodies need to feel safe and satisfied on a deep level. This largely contributes to the pandemic of female sexual health issues.
You will always be able to have sex, it might just not be the kind of sex you were used to. It can, however, be much better when it takes into account your actual needs.
